Hello, I’m Steve Lisenby and I’m the proud owner of Southern General Contractors, your premier Chesterfield, SC and surrounding areas builder and remodeler. Our company has done many projects in and around your area, and will surely be doing many more. I’d also like to take a moment to say “Thanks” to so many locals for so much support through the years.

I got started in the construction field in 1978 working for a roofing contractor on school-day afternoons and on Saturdays, then diversified into several of the other related trades. Later on I took small jobs building storage buildings and decks. I then found myself progressing on up to several major home builders in the Rockhill and Charlotte areas and then on up to doing high-rise work in down town Charlotte. After working in the concrete jungle for a while, I decided to come back to my roots and do the work I love, work that is now your most local, efficient, conscientous, and trustworthy on-call Chesterfield Remodeler, Southern General Contractors.

We’re located right here in Chesterfield, South Carolina, and we proudly cover not only Chesterfield itself, but also it’s surrounding 60-mile radius with all of your construction and remodeling needs, wants, and desires. We have over 30 years of construction and remodeling experience under our belts, and we’re humbly and proudly at your service.

We’re a highly versatile construction company, and we’re licensed in both residential and commercial remodeling and construction work. Interiors, exteriors, roofs, siding, you name it. Built-Ins and custom and one-of-a-kind jobs are also well within our experience and expertise, and can be designed specifically for your home or and/or office settings.
